In NOCTURNIS, you design your own nocturnal retreat full of flowers, herbs, and fruit trees. Round after round, you use revealed cards to draw new habitats in your garden plan, trying to attract as many different species of moths as possible.
Only those who plan skillfully, best meet the needs of the moths, and transform their garden into a fluttering paradise will ultimately shine with the greatest biodiversity and secure victory.

Each round, a habitat card is revealed. You mark the shape depicted on the card on your game sheet. If you can cover all the symbols shown on one of your moth cards with this shape, you can play it and lure the respective moth into your garden. Lured moths earn you points and sometimes additional effects. The player with the most points at the end wins the game.
